Maintaining Your Larp/Cosplay Foam Sword
If you use swords for practice, Larping, Cosplay, or just for fun, taking care of them is essential for their longevity. With some basic care, your foam swords can provide you with countless hours of thrilling adventures!
Cleaning
After each use, whether it’s for practice or an event, it’s important to clean your foam sword. Wipe away any sweat, dirt, or debris with a damp cloth, paying extra attention to all joints and handles. Let it air dry completely to prevent mold and mildew.
Occasionally, you may need to deep clean your foam sword. Submerge the foam weapon in warm water with a mild or dish soap for about 10 minutes, then gently scrub away the dirt with a soft bristle brush. Rinse thoroughly and allow the foam sword to air dry completely before storing.
Storing
For optimal longevity, store your foam swords flat or standing in a dry area, away from direct sunlight to prevent them from deterioration. Avoid stacking them on top of each other, unless you pad them in-between or store them in a padded sword bag or tube.
With proper care, your foam sword will be ready to deliver endless hours of thrilling fun and excitement!
